I would personally send all my cards to ALT if they add this trade function. I know many others that would do the same. It would be a total game changer.

Going beyond just the realm of ALT vault users, there are many online forums (reddit, blowoutcards, etc) where people offer cards for trade. There's no safe way to do this as users rely on good faith that the other party will ship the card. 
While services exist for people to track bad actors, you CONSTANTLY see posts about such and such user scamming or not sending cards. ALT could easily charge a nominal fee to step in as a middleman in this type of transaction. Both individuals would ship to ALT and only after confirming that all cards are accounted for would they be released to the final destination. Would increase cost and time but guarantee safe transactions and bring more exposure to the ALT site.
You could even offer a promo where if the cards involved are graded they could waive the mediation fee if they open an ALT account and house the cards there.

Hello,

I see a need for safe trading of cards. A vault would be needed for enabling a trading service, ALT has a vault. I wonder if this feature would be of great value to customers. It could be taken further too, you could propose trades to another person for a card in the fixed listings. You could share what you're looking for in your profile etc. Thank you.

I would absolutely be interested in a platform offering the ability to trade. Splitting a reasonable neutral escrow fee would make sense to me and could be profitable for Alt, and you know how I don’t like discriminatory pricing tactics. This one could be easily straight forward and fair for all of done right imho. Great idea Theo. Hope you’ve been well.

Yes. ALT being the middle person as a neutral escrow would be a game changer. Allow people to signify a card to be “open to trades”. Allow people to send offers of their own portfolio for the open to trade cards of others.
